Aqua 101 is a summer day camp program for middle schoolers to gain a better appreciation for the natural environment through healthy outdoor recreation and environmental science exploration

Aqua 101 engages students ages 10-13 in environmental science and outdoor recreational activities to raise awareness of the natural environment and to promote the health and well being of local youth in the Rockaways.

In Aqua 101, students take part in environmental stewardship, arts, and water-based recreation including swimming, surfing, sailing, fishing, and kayaking along the Rockaway shoreline and Jamaica Bay.
Campers must be 10 years of age by the start of the program to be eligible. Each camper can register for up to 2 sessions per summer season.

Program Details:
1 week sessions - Monday - Friday 10AM-4PM 

Summer session 1: Monday, July 6th to Friday, July 10th, 2020 
Summer session 2: Monday, July 13th to Friday, July 17th, 2020 
Summer session 3: Monday, July 20th to Friday, July 24th, 2020
Summer session 4: Monday, July 27th to Friday, July 31st, 2020 

Tuition is free* to all families in need in the Rockaway Peninsula. Tuition includes all instruction, supervision, lunch, kayak and surf equipment for campers. 
* $25/administrative fee /weekly session

Tuition for families outside the Rockaway area is $450/per camp session. Financial scholarships are available to families in need. Families should submit a financial application for consideration.
